Beginning August 15, 2011 through December 31,2011 the WLSFA will accept patient referrals from Qualified Bariatric and Reconstructive Plastic Surgeons.

Qualified Surgeons are:

US Bariatric Surgeon: ASMBS Center of Excellence Certified or have ACS BSCN Accreditation.

US Plastic Surgeon: Board Certified by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons ASPS

Referred patients who meet referral guidelines may apply for a grant. The WLSFA is the only nonprofit organization granting funds for these types of surgeries to people in financial need. The Grant program is funded by the WLSFA through it’s “Network of Care” contributors, Weight Loss Surgery Patients, Medical Professionals, Hospitals and Industry Partners.

Surgeons and their practices are provided guidelines to help identify patients who qualify for grants. Patients who are denied access to medical treatment because of insurance denial, exemptions and clauses as well as patients who have lost insurance coverage during the evaluation process for surgery. Under Insured or Uninsured patients who have made all efforts to gather the funds needed to pay for surgery.

By yourself, or at least no kids close to the heaters you can pretty much get what you want.

Gas or oil burning are usually the cheapest, but can be messy and cheaper ones stink at times. I have an LP heater, (for emergencies), and it heats my whole house, 1300 sqft, when I put it in the basement, another 1200 sqft. [warm down there but real warm upstairs.

Electric are also cheap, but I personally do not like the heat they put out, Just doesn’t feel warm even though it is.

Infrared heaters are more expensive but put out a nice heat, no noise, have a nice glow when the lights are low or off. If you like to sit back and read you can pull it in close, has a small required distance compared to other heaters. They are usually smaller and easier to store. I use them when camping in the trailer and they work better than they seem they should.
