Question by Carly R: If I delete aires off of my computer will I lose all my downloaded songs?
I don’t use it anymore because I don’t want to get a huge fine but I also don’t want to lose my music. If I delete it will the songs I opened into i tunes from aires be lost?

Usually No. If your songs are saved they will not be erased, unless your songs are being played locally within Ares

Each time I accumulate 100 or more songs on my Ares library I later find they have been deleted.
I do not have any idea how they were erased.

Have you checked for viruses?
Avoid p2p software like Ares, Limewire, Frostwire, Bearshare, torrents etc. -* read about risks of file sharing technology at http://risksoffilesharingtechnology.blog…

Instead, use websites like http://searchformusic.eu.pn (a google-based search engine) or directly http://www.google.com
Beware. Downloading copyrighted music for free is illegal.

I downloaded ares ultra onto my computer and when I search for a song, it says performing search please wait. On my friend’s computer with ares ultra, he can download ANYTHING. He said the same thing happened to his ares at first but he doesn’t remember what he did to fix it.

same thing happen to me, What I did was closed it, exited from it and then started the program again.

I had Limewire but of course they got sued, and when I had Limewire, every time a song finished downloading it would go straight to my Itune library.
Now I have Ares and it doesn’t do that, so i was wondering if you can like change a setting maybe?
And please dont say ” just drag and drop it” cause you cant with Ares.

You can’t (drag and drop) with Ares, you can with Windows, and that’s what people mean.

But the easy way is to tell Ares to download to the folder iTunes is looking in. Or tell iTunes to look in the folder Ares is downloading to. They both have to use the same folder.

AVG can scan files you downloaded, you should be able to right click the file and hit scan with AVG.

However, AVG is generally a laughing stock when it comes to security and I wouldn’t trust it’s results. Pay for a better Anti-virus.

As for your second question, it technically can’t truly clean out the virus from the file. The only real way to do that is to delete the file, so after scanning, if it says theres a virus, don’t put it on the PSP.

i think the person who recorded the song did that on purpose and is really anooying u cant get a descent song with out getting ruined

A lot of the songs I get off Limewire does that. I don’t know what it is, but it sux. I’m using Utorrent now and downloading from sites like The Pirate Bay and Mininova and I don’t have any problems at all. And you can d/l an entire cd in like 2 minutes or a full movie in 15.

I have a computer that is able to burn cds and dvds my problem is finding something to open it up and hit burn. If you dont understand Ill try to explain. When using musicmatch jukebox your music is there opened already you add them to the playlist and hit the burn button. Thats a pretty simple thing lol now wheres the place I can open up the downloaded movie and burn it to a dvd-r?

i do know you will have to get video converter and convert both video and music to acceptable codec
Search google for types
And if you want to play movies on tv it must be a certain format

Well this is certainly strange… I use Ares and the movies play alright for me.

NONE of the movies you downloaded from Ares work? I’m not sure but maybe you could try get a newer version of Ares/ or maybe the movie files you downloaded aren’t the true proper files.
