Question by : How to compress a Ares mp3 Download file to be small enough to email to a cell phone?
I want to make an Ares mp3 Download smaller so i can email it to my cell phone and use it as a ringtone. Is there any way to make the file smaller? I’m going to convert it to .WAV before i send it, so compressing a .WAV would work too. A safe download would be fine. If it helps any, I have the Samsung Intensity.

There is an exclamation mark by the song on iTunes (!) and on Ares it says there is a Media Error: Trouble finding the song from the main stream or something. Sorry if there is not enough information.

i have some files on ares music, which come up in a box on the top left of the screen, but i cannot find a way to save these elsewhere on the pc.

Start ares music go to the transfer tab , then click the locate file icon button and all your downloaded files will be in that folder. When you have acessed the folder copy or drag any files you want to your desired location, eg.. Desktop, My Documents etc.. If you do not want Ares to automatically save it in the Ares default downloaded files folder Go to the control panel tab afterwards click the Transfer tab underneath and at the far bottom it says change folder, click that and choose a desired location for ares music to save your downloaded files. After each download it will now be saved to the location you chose.

ares musicgalaxy.sourceforge.net is where you downloaded it from right? I believe there are some other versions of ares music out there that don’t work right.
If that is where you downloaded it from, try right clicking on the download and select “Save as”
