Question by Heather: How to transfer music from Ares to iTunes?
I just downloaded Ares becasue I was having so many problems with Frostwire, but now I don’t know how to transfer music from Ares to iTunes. Clicking and dragging isn’t working, and when i right click on the file I don’t see an option to move it to another program. Help please? I just spent 30.00 on this, I don’t want it to be a waste.

look fr the aires folder in your “my documents” you can click and drag from there (:

If I made a playlist using aires, I used to be able to load it on to iTunes. It doesn’t work anymore. Does anybody know why or what to do?

it cant be auto just save the songs in a file open itunes and drag the file into itunes and they will upload

I had Limewire but of course they got sued, and when I had Limewire, every time a song finished downloading it would go straight to my Itune library.
Now I have Ares and it doesn’t do that, so i was wondering if you can like change a setting maybe?
And please dont say ” just drag and drop it” cause you cant with Ares.

You can’t (drag and drop) with Ares, you can with Windows, and that’s what people mean.

But the easy way is to tell Ares to download to the folder iTunes is looking in. Or tell iTunes to look in the folder Ares is downloading to. They both have to use the same folder.

I just had the same problem. What I did was go into library, right click any song and click on “Locate file”. It will take you to the folder that they are located on your computer and from there you can click and drag, or copy and paste.

Question by brandon: I transfer music from Ares to iTunes and the music file is messed up on iTunes and unable to play on Ares Why?
There is an exclamation mark by the song on iTunes (!) and on Ares it says there is a Media Error: Trouble finding the song from the main stream or something. Sorry if there is not enough information.

I recently moved my Ares folder to a different place in my computer, so I have to re-add everything to iTunes. Is it possible to do multiple “Open External”s at the same time, or do I have to go through and choose every individual song?

Hey, My ares music library has shares all its files with itunes, My itunes music library has around 100 more songs that aren’t common with ares.
SO how do i locate all those songs in my itunes library and transfer them?

You transfer a song to iTunes by going to File, Add file to library, and select the song file from there.

However, the song files on ares are probably different to the iTunes files so you might not be able to play them.

Ok so i know that you are supposed to right click on the song you want and press locate file and then drag the song to the itunes library, however, for some reason when i attempt to do this it directs me to an empty folder and says file not located…

Umm can’t guarantee this will work but you might as well give it a shot…do you know what folder the songs are located in? If not you need to find that out, I’m not familiar with Ares so all I could suggest is using search or right clicking a song and locating, whatever…but you need to know what folder to locate it in…Then in itunes go to File, Add from folder and go to it, make sure on the bottom it’s on All Files. Once you’re in the folder just click Ok and that should do it…You’ve probably already done something of this sort but I figured I’d throw you something to try. Good luck
