Question by : What is a game like Legend of Ares that is free to play and is awesome?
About a month ago i really wanted to play aires but I learned that it was shut down and now I miss it.
Does anyone know another game like Legend of Ares that is really fun.

Maybe you might like Shaiya. i played it for a while and i rather liked it, though i returned to WoW afterward. It’s a great game, regardless, and you said free to play, so WoW’s out.

there’s also a bunch of other games by the creators of Shaiya, free to play, that you might like as well.

Im tryna find an mp3 players that has it where u can play music videos and movies on it. Something thats not an ipod, any suggestions?

Question by brandon: I transfer music from Ares to iTunes and the music file is messed up on iTunes and unable to play on Ares Why?
There is an exclamation mark by the song on iTunes (!) and on Ares it says there is a Media Error: Trouble finding the song from the main stream or something. Sorry if there is not enough information.

Question by WELL R.S.: Everytime i try to play songs on ares music media player, it gives me error. What should I do?
I had Ares earlier so I am quite familiar with this program. I am trying to play mp3 files and i don’t think i need to install divx as some friends suggested me since i have combined communiy codecs package which can open literally anything. Error is read as: Media Error: The source filter for this file couldn’t be located. Thx in advance.

Reinstall the program (WMP) or try to read the Troubleshooting tips, usually works for me. Or maybe get a newer version?

Question by lovslinky: I am trying to play a video for a class and it comes up on Ares p2p instead of windows media player?
I need to watch some videos for my class and I can’t because when I try to watch them, they try to play on Ares p2p instead of windows media player. youtube.com pops up on the Ares and when I talked to the other people in my class they said that their videos popped up on windows media player.

You need to change your default media player to windows media player, or right click on the video(if it is a file) and select open with> windows media player. I don’t know what OS you use so I can’t help with changing your default programs…but I know that you go to the control panel to change them.

The best pranks need to be related to school work so that it’s educationally related and they find it amusing. THAT’s how you stay out of trouble.

Like, if it’s literature, we used to quote books that were like our teacher, write it up on the chalkboard while she’s out of the room. With math, we did a proof proving that our math teacher was a nerd. He thought it was hilarious.

Well this is certainly strange… I use Ares and the movies play alright for me.

NONE of the movies you downloaded from Ares work? I’m not sure but maybe you could try get a newer version of Ares/ or maybe the movie files you downloaded aren’t the true proper files.

The Iliad

In the Iliad, Homer represented Ares as having no fixed allegiances nor respect for Themis, the right ordering of things: he promised Athena and Hera that he would fight on the side of the Achaeans, but Aphrodite was able to persuade Ares to side with the Trojans (Iliad V.699). During the war, Diomedes fought with Hector and saw Ares fighting on the Trojans’ side. Diomedes called for his soldiers to fall back slowly. Hera, Ares’s mother, saw his interference and asked Zeus, his father, for permission to drive Ares away from the battlefield. Hera encouraged Diomedes to attack Ares, so he threw a spear at Ares and his cries made Achaeans and Trojans alike tremble. Athena then drove the spear into Ares’s body, who bellowed in pain and fled to Mt. Olympus, forcing the Trojans to fall back (XXI.391). Later when Zeus allows the gods to fight in the war again, Ares tries to fight Athena to avenge himself for his previous injury, but is once again badly injured when she tosses a huge boulder on him.

Ares in Mythology

In the myth sung by the bard in the hall of Alcinous (Odyssey 8.300) the Sun-God Helios once spied Ares and Aphrodite enjoying each other secretly in the hall of Hephaestus and how he promptly reported the incident to Aphrodite’s Olympian consort. Hephaestus contrived to catch the couple in the act, and so he fashioned a net with which to snare the illicit lovers. At the appropriate time, this net was sprung, and trapped Ares and Aphrodite locked in very private embrace. But Hephaestus was not yet satisfied with his revenge – he invited the Olympian gods and goddesses to view the unfortunate pair. For the sake of modesty, the goddesses demurred, but the male gods went to witness the sight. Some commented on the beauty of Aphrodite, others remarked that they would eagerly trade places with Ares, but all mocked the two. Once the couple were loosed, Ares, embarrassed, sped away to his homeland, Thrace.

In a much later interpolated detail, Ares put the youth Alectryon by his door to warn them of Helios’ arrival, as Helios would tell Hephaestus of Aphrodite’s infidelity if the two were discovered, but Alectryon fell asleep. Helios discovered the two and alerted Hephaestus. Ares was furious and turned Alectryon into a rooster, which now never forgets to announce the arrival of the sun in the morning.

Ares and the Giants

In one Bronze Myth, related in the Iliad by the goddess Dione to her daughter Aphrodite, two chthonic giants, the Aloadae, named Otus and Ephialtes, threw Ares into chains and put him in a bronze urn, where he remained for thirteen months, a lunar year. “And that would have been the end of Ares and his appetite for war, if the beautiful Eriboea, the young giants’ stepmother, had not told Hermes what they had done,” she related (Iliad 5.385 391). “In this one suspects a festival of licence which is unleashed in the thirteenth month.” Ares remained screaming and howling in the urn until Hermes rescued him and Artemis tricked the Aloadae into slaying each other.

Question by Miranda: Why i can’t play an audio files that i downloaded with Ares?
I’ve download an audio files, but i couldn’t open it. The files was located in “My Shared Folders” on Desktop (I never made that folder). When i try to preview it on Ares it said “Media Error” i can’t open it with my “Windows Media Player” and “Winamp”. Is there something wrong with my computer? Or Ares? I’ve download so many files, but i never could play it. Help me please! Thank you!

listentoyoutube.com and itll let you download straight from youtube into mp3s. Dont forget to put a checkmark in the high quality thing. It asks you to like paste the address of the song into it thats all, then turns it into an mp3.

For your problem, prolly a codec error.
