Question by jessicaja14: Help: how to make Windows Media Player my default player instead of Ares who is my current default player?
I have both windows media player and Ares. Ares has a player, and ever since i’ve downloaded it, it has become the default player in Windows Messenger. I wish to make Windows media player my default player again, what should i do to make this happen.

please do not put answers such as uninstall Ares.

right click on the mp3 file
and then go to properties
then go to opens with…. and change the program
pick windows media player

I used to be able to export my songs from Ares to itunes, but now it exports them to Windows Media Player. How do I make it export to itunes agian?

I just had the same problem. What I did was go into library, right click any song and click on “Locate file”. It will take you to the folder that they are located on your computer and from there you can click and drag, or copy and paste.

in windows media player, click on Library (in Windows Media Player 11) then click on “Add to Library…” Then select the folder where you downloaded your music to in Ares.

Find out where your Aries music is saved –you can do that by going to your library in Ares, right click on a song and then on “Locate file.” Right click on the file and click “Add to Windows Media Player list.”

Question by lovslinky: I am trying to play a video for a class and it comes up on Ares p2p instead of windows media player?
I need to watch some videos for my class and I can’t because when I try to watch them, they try to play on Ares p2p instead of windows media player. youtube.com pops up on the Ares and when I talked to the other people in my class they said that their videos popped up on windows media player.

You need to change your default media player to windows media player, or right click on the video(if it is a file) and select open with> windows media player. I don’t know what OS you use so I can’t help with changing your default programs…but I know that you go to the control panel to change them.

i have a zune and i cant figure out how to get the songs to windows media player so i can get them on my zune. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you make a playlist on ares music and save it , then open windows media player there should be a selection of playlists on the side and all the songs should be there!

I downloaded a song on Ares. It says completed but I’m not sure where to find the file anywhere or how to save it since I don’t think it is already. Can anyone help?

In the transfer menu, click on the button called Locate File that is located by the play/preview, cancel and clear idle buttons. There will be all the files you downloaded from Ares. Drag and drop the file onto the desktop or where ever and go to work with Movie Maker.
